Tim Hortons Around the World – International Menus & Prices
Tim Hortons operates in more than 20 countries — but almost nobody has written a serious page about what it actually serves outside Canada. What ranks is one-country thin content: a Mexico listicle here, a UK price page there, Wikipedia’s country list. Nobody compares. Nobody converts the prices. Nobody explains why the UK menu looks nothing like the Canadian one.
This page does all three. Eight markets, signature local items with local-currency prices, what’s missing versus Canada, and the patterns behind the localization — with every uncertain claim labeled as such.
The one rule of Tims localization
The core never changes. Original Blend coffee, the Iced Capp, Timbits, the maple donut, French vanilla — they survive in every market. Localization happens around the core, never instead of it. Tims exports Canada’s greatest hits, then remixes everything else. Once you see the pattern, every country’s menu reads the same way:
- Bakery is the localization vehicle. Baklava donuts (GCC), salted egg yolk Timbits (China), trifle donuts (UK), dulce de leche Timbits (Mexico) — local desserts sneak in through the donut case.
- Hot food diverges most. UK burgers, China laffa wraps, India tikka melts, Mexico paninis. Canada’s soup-and-chili lunch culture does not travel.
- Drinks follow local beverage culture. Chai in India, oolong tea in China, Topo Chico sodas in Mexico, white coffee in Thailand.
- Master franchise explains the divergence. Tims doesn’t run these stores directly — Apparel Group (GCC), TH International (China), Marubeni (Singapore/Malaysia), and others each build their own menu. That’s why no two countries match.
- Halal by default in Muslim markets — no pork or bacon (Pakistan uses beef bacon), no alcohol; India splits the whole menu into veg / non-veg / egg. Counterpoint: the UK is explicitly not halal, which matters on a meat-heavy menu.
- Premium in Asia, value in the West. India and China position Tims as a premium café; the UK undercuts Costa and Starbucks on coffee; Mexico runs 2-for-1 promos. Same brand, opposite price stories.
- Renamed, not invented. A first-hand visitor to Oman found the “pistachio donut” was essentially a Boston cream with green pistachio frosting. Some “local exclusives” are reskins — we’ll call them out.

Store counts are dated snapshots, not live figures — they’re labeled with their dates so you can judge freshness.
United Kingdom — the Tims that sells burgers
Britain got the strangest Tims on earth. First store Glasgow, June 2017; ~73 sites now, mostly drive-thrus. The menu reads like a parallel universe: burgers (Nacho Chilli Cheese, Smoky Maple), a Heinz baked-bean breakfast wrap, strawberry trifle and lemon meringue donuts, a VLT vegan wrap, and lattice fries. Coffee stays cheap (£1.49–£2.99), undercutting Costa and Starbucks.
| Item | Price | Note |
| Nacho Chilli Cheese / Smoky Maple burgers | £4.99–£6.99 | The flagship UK divergence |
| Heinz Wrap (baked beans) | ~£3–4 | English breakfast on the go — genuinely only in the UK |
| Strawberry trifle / lemon meringue donuts | £2.79–£3.99 | British desserts in donut form; pricier than UK bakery chains |
| VLT Vegan Wrap | ~£4–5 | UK-only dedicated vegan item |
| Lattice fries | £2.29–£3.29 | Canada has wedges; Britain got these |
| Original Blend coffee | £1.49–£2.99 | Undercuts Costa/Starbucks; prices vary town to town |
Two things to know: the UK menu is explicitly not halal (matters on a meat-heavy menu), and there are no stores in the Republic of Ireland — Limerick plans died, despite what some country lists imply. Northern Ireland counts under the UK.
India — tikka wraps and kadak chai
First stores August 2022 (New Delhi/Gurugram); 28+ outlets across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Ludhiana. The entire menu is split veg / non-veg / egg — no beef or pork anywhere. Positioning is premium café, not value: a coffee runs ₹190–360, and customers pay it.
| Item | Price | Note |
| Chicken / Paneer Tikka Wrap | ₹340–360 | The signature local item |
| Kadak Chai / Ginger Chai | ₹210 | Local tea culture, Tims roof |
| Dream Frappes (brownie, banoffee, caramel popcorn) | ₹340–360 | Dessert-drink line not seen in Canada |
| Hibiscus Cold Brew | ₹310 | Floral cold brew — very un-Canadian |
| Classic Glazed Donut | ₹160 | Roughly $2.60 CAD — pricier than home |
Honesty note: India’s ₹ prices come largely from one menu site that future-dated its publish stamp — treat the exact figures as approximate, not gospel. The items are well corroborated; the digits are gray.
Philippines — iced everything
First store February 2017 (Uptown Mall, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig — ribbon cut by Miss Universe Canada 2016); 52 locations by end of 2023. Hot climate, iced menu: the local signatures are all cold drinks and citrus teas.
| Item | Price | Note |
| Iced Spanish Latte | ₱185 | The order, per every local menu |
| Yuzu Peach / Ume Calamansi Iced Tea | ₱175 | Local citrus, not on Canadian boards |
| Truffle Timbits | ₱15 each | Savoury truffle — a long way from birthday cake |
| Double Sausage Cheese Biscuit | ₱160 | Breakfast leans biscuit, not bagel |
Middle East (UAE, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman) — pistachio country
The oldest international market: UAE since September 2011, run by Apparel Group. The through-line is pistachio and dates on everything — pistachio latte, pistachio Iced Capp, pistachio donut, baklava donut, pistachio kunafa, even a Mellys Pistachio Kunafa chocolate bar (AED 28). Halal by default; mall locations; Arabic signage.
| Item | Price | Note |
| Baklava Donut | ~AED 8–10 | The region’s icon item |
| Pistachio Donut | ~AED 8–10 | Per a first-hand visit: Boston cream, green frosting — reskin, not invention |
| Halloumi Mint / Smoked Chickpeas Wrap | AED 16–25 | From the official GCC menu |
| Berry Date / Choco Vanilla Protein Smoothie | AED 33 | Functional-dessert line |
| Grilled chicken / quinoa salads | AED 29 | Salad culture Canada doesn’t have |
One listing we are not repeating as fact: a Qatar delivery page shows pizza, ube frappe, and Nutella donuts at Tims. Pizza at Tim Hortons is bizarre enough to need a second source before anyone prints it.
Mexico — churro Timbits and 24-hour stores
Operating since 2017, ~89 stores, and the youngest-feeling Tims anywhere: 24-hour locations for nightlife crowds, a Red Bull collaboration, vegan protein shakes that sold triple projections, and 45 new Cancún stores planned. The menu leans sweet-spicy and local.
| Item | Price | Note |
| Churro / Dulce de Leche Timbits | ~50–60 MXN / 10-pack | Cinnamon-sugar nod to churro tradition |
| Chorizo y Huevo sandwich | ~50–80 MXN | Spicy local breakfast |
| Mexican Chocolate | ~30–60 MXN | Spiced hot chocolate |
| Topo Chico fruit drinks | ~30–60 MXN | Local sparkling water brand, Tims menu |
| Café Original (Chiapas beans) | ~30 MXN | Local sourcing story |
Value engineering is aggressive: donuts around 20 MXN, frequent 2-for-1 promos via the app and delivery platforms. This is the cheapest-feeling Tims in the world.
En español: la carta mexicana
Searching in Spanish? The Mexican menu is a carta, not a “menu” — try “carta Tim Hortons” or “menú Tim Hortons México precios”. Donuts are donas, drinks are bebidas, breakfast is desayuno. Prices are in pesos (MXN) and vary by city — Monterrey and CDMX listings differ, so check your city’s listing rather than trusting one national price.
Pakistan — the thinnest verified market
Yes, it’s real — Reuters covered the February 2023 Lahore launch, when queues stretched for hours during an economic crisis. Islamabad followed in January 2024, plus Sialkot. Halal by default: beef bacon instead of pork bacon, chicken sausage breakfasts. A small brewed coffee was Rs 350 at launch — premium positioning in Lahore’s café scene.
Honesty note: Pakistan has the thinnest verified menu detail of any market here — pistachio latte and double chocolate donut are single-sourced. We’re publishing what’s corroborated and not inventing the rest.
Spain — small but real
Operating since December 2017 around Madrid (plus an Andorra shop listed on the Spanish site) — nine years in and still a handful of stores. The menu blends standard Tims with “typical Spanish drinks” and items like tarta de queso (cheesecake) and iced mango matcha. Detail is thin; the Spanish site is the source of truth and it’s sparse.
China — the biggest Tims outside North America
First store Shanghai, February 2019; 1,022 stores in 82 cities by end of 2024 — the largest international footprint by far, run by TH International. Tea-forward menu, mall flagships, 91% of orders through digital channels. This is the most localized Tims on earth after the UK.
What makes China different isn’t just the items — it’s the format. Stores are designed as destinations: maple-leaf floor tiles, hockey-stick door handles, single-origin brews under the “Tim’s Signature” concept (also running in Singapore). The menu reads like a tea house that happens to sell Timbits: oolong and roselle teas get the same billing as coffee, and the savoury menu (laffa wraps, ciabattas, salads) is built for lunch crowds, not the Canadian breakfast rush.
| Item | Note |
| Salted Egg Yolk Timbits | Shanghai-exclusive at launch — savoury-sweet, nothing like it in Canada |
| Black Lemon Peach Oolong / Blueberry Roselle Tea | Tea culture, steeped properly |
| Black-Pepper Beef / Chicken-Caesar Laffa wraps | Flatbread wraps instead of sandwiches |
| Water buffalo milk lattes | 2026 addition — local dairy flex |
| Basil Chicken / Coldwater Shrimp ciabattas | Savoury menu Canada never got |
The rest of Asia + Panama, briefly
- Thailand (2020, ~10 stores): tiramisu donut, white coffee seen on menus — but the Bangkok flagship shows as permanently closed in one listing. Current footprint unverified.
- South Korea (2023, ~13 stores): Gangnam launch, still expanding against local QSR giants. Menu detail thin.
- Singapore (2023, ~11 outlets): runs a “Tim’s Signature” upmarket concept with single-origin brews.
- Malaysia (2024): one mall store confirmed, little else.
- Indonesia: on paper in franchise plans; no confirmed open stores found. Listed as unverified until evidence appears.
- Panama (December 2024): the newest market, first store via Vortex Investment, 30-store plan by 2034. Too new for local items — one to watch.
Who actually runs these menus
The reason no two countries match: Tim Hortons barely operates any of these stores directly. International expansion runs on master franchisees — local companies that license the brand and build their own menus. The names explain the divergence:
- Apparel Group (UAE/GCC) — Dubai-based retail giant; in since 2011, the longest-running international partner. Its menu leans mall-dessert: kunafa, pistachio, protein smoothies.
- TH International (China) — the Cartesian Capital joint venture behind 1,022 stores. The most aggressive localizer: oolong teas, laffa wraps, water buffalo milk lattes.
- Marubeni Corporation (Singapore/Malaysia/Indonesia) — Japanese trading house; runs the upmarket “Tim’s Signature” concept in Singapore.
- AG Café (India) — the franchisee behind the veg/non-veg split menu and premium-café positioning.
- Vortex Investment (Panama) — the newest partner, December 2024.
This is why “why is the UK menu so different?” has a boring-but-true answer: a British franchise partner looked at retail-park drive-thrus and concluded burgers would outsell soup. They were probably right. Every country’s menu is a local operator’s bet on what sells — the Canadian playbook is just the starting point.
What Canada has that the world doesn’t (and vice versa)
Canada’s soup-and-chili lunch culture, poutine experiments, and maple-everything breakfast don’t travel. In return, Canada never got: UK burgers and the Heinz baked-bean wrap, China’s salted egg yolk Timbits, Mexico’s churro Timbits, the Gulf’s baklava donut, India’s kadak chai, or the Philippines’ calamansi teas. Nobody’s menu is “better” — they’re answers to different questions.
One open question no source answers: whether Tims Rewards or Roll Up the Rim run in any international market. If you know, email us — it’s the gap in every guide, including this one for now.
A donut around the world: the price check
Nobody converts these prices into one currency, so here’s the classic glazed (or closest local equivalent) across markets — local price plus a very rough CAD equivalent at October 2026 rates. Rates move; these are for comparison, not promises.
| Market | Local price | Rough CAD |
| Canada (reference) | $1.99 | $1.99 |
| Mexico | ~20 MXN | ~$1.40 |
| Philippines | ₱60–75 | ~$1.45–1.80 |
| India | ₹160–180 | ~$2.60–2.90 |
| UAE | ~AED 8–10 | ~$3.00–3.70 |
| United Kingdom | £2.79–£3.99 | ~$4.90–7.00 |
The spread is wild: a donut costs roughly five times more in Britain than in Mexico. The UK’s gourmet-donut pricing (£3.20 average) sits above British bakery chains — Tims UK sells donuts as premium treats while undercutting the same chains on coffee. Mexico is the mirror: 20-peso donuts as everyday value. Same company, opposite strategies, both deliberate.
Five items Canada should steal
- Churro Timbits (Mexico). Cinnamon-sugar Timbits are the most obvious win on this entire list — Canada invented the Timbit and somehow never did this.
- Salted egg yolk Timbits (China). Savoury-sweet is the frontier Canadian Timbits never explored; the birthday-cake era could use a challenger.
- Kadak chai (India). Canada’s tea drinkers get steeped tea and London fogs. A proper spiced chai would outsell both in February.
- Baklava donut (GCC). The Middle East’s icon item — honey, pistachio, flaky pastry — would work untouched in any Canadian donut case.
- Lattice fries (UK). Canada has wedges; Britain’s lattice fries with loaded options are the better potato. This one stings a little.
Finding a Tims abroad: practical notes
- Don’t expect your app to follow you. The Canadian app’s offers and Rewards are built for Canada — whether Tims Rewards even runs in international markets is an open question no source answers. Assume you’re paying full price and being pleasantly surprised.
- Malls, not corners. Outside North America, Tims lives in shopping malls (Asia, Middle East) and retail-park drive-thrus (UK) — not the corner-shop format Canadians know. The store finder on each country’s site is the source of truth; Google Maps lags in newer markets.
- Menus change faster abroad. Master-franchise operators run local LTOs Canada never hears about. Check the country’s own site (timhortonsgcc.com, timhortons.co.uk, timhortons.com.pk) before you go — not a Canadian menu blog.
- Language helps. In the Gulf, signage and menus are bilingual Arabic/English. In China, the app is the menu — 91% of orders go through digital channels, and the counter experience assumes you ordered ahead.
Frequently asked questions
How many countries is Tim Hortons in?
More than 20 areas including Canada, the US, China, the UK, Mexico, the Philippines, India, Spain, Pakistan, Panama, Thailand, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, and six Gulf states (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman) — plus a single shop in Andorra. China is the biggest international market with over 1,000 stores.
Is Tim Hortons halal outside Canada?
In Muslim-majority markets (the Gulf, Pakistan, Malaysia) it’s halal by default — no pork or bacon, no alcohol; Pakistan uses beef bacon. India splits menus into veg/non-veg/egg. But the UK menu is explicitly not halal, so don’t assume it travels.
Is there a Tim Hortons in Pakistan?
Yes — since February 2023, starting with four Lahore locations (Reuters covered launch-day queues). Islamabad and Sialkot followed. It’s premium-positioned: a small brewed coffee was Rs 350 at launch.
Is there a Tim Hortons in Spain?
Yes — since December 2017, around Madrid, plus a shop in Andorra. It’s a tiny footprint after nine years, with Spanish drinks alongside the standard menu.
Is there a Tim Hortons in Ireland?
No — plans for Limerick never materialized. The Republic of Ireland has no stores (Northern Ireland does, counted under the UK). Several country lists get this wrong.
What is the most unusual Tim Hortons menu item in the world?
Candidates: China’s salted egg yolk Timbits, the UK’s Heinz baked-bean wrap, Mexico’s churro Timbits, the Gulf’s baklava donut, and the Philippines’ truffle Timbits. The strangest listing we’ve seen is pizza on a Qatar delivery page — unverified, and we’re not repeating it as fact.
Does the Tim Hortons menu taste the same in other countries?
The core does — Original Blend, Iced Capp, Timbits, maple donut taste like home everywhere. Everything around the core is localized: hot food, bakery, and drinks all follow local tastes. A first-hand visitor found Oman’s “pistachio donut” was just a Boston cream with green frosting, so some “local exclusives” are reskins.
Why is the UK Tim Hortons menu so different?
Master franchise. Tims doesn’t operate UK stores directly — a franchise partner builds the menu for British retail-park drive-thrus, where burgers and hot food sell. Each country’s operator localizes independently, which is why no two international menus match.
Which country has the most Tim Hortons stores?
Canada, by far. Outside North America it’s China, with 1,022 stores in 82 cities as of December 2024.
Are Tim Hortons prices cheaper in other countries?
It splits both ways. The UK undercuts Costa and Starbucks on coffee (£1.49–£2.99) and Mexico runs 20-peso donuts with 2-for-1 promos — value markets. India and China position Tims as a premium café with prices above local competitors. Same brand, opposite price stories.
Can I use my Tims Rewards points in other countries?
Unknown — and that’s the honest answer. No source we’ve found confirms whether Tims Rewards (or Roll Up the Rim) operates in any international market. The Canadian app’s offers are built for Canada. Until someone confirms otherwise, assume your points stay home.
Does Tim Hortons in other countries have the Iced Capp?
Yes — the Iced Capp is part of the untouchable core, alongside Original Blend coffee, Timbits, the maple donut, and French vanilla. You’ll find all five in every market; it’s everything around them that changes.
What’s the newest Tim Hortons country?
Panama — first store opened December 2024, with a 30-store plan running to 2034. Too new for local menu items yet; it’s the market to watch.
